Smallville Week; Day 1
Clark Kent
For this week, (while I work on some other stuff, Doctor Who etc.) I'll be posting characters from TV's Smallville, a show that I really liked originally, but became less engaged with as the show went on. I decided to give the show another look the last couple of seasons though, and I have to admit it - I'm hooked again. Yeah, the costumes and timelines etc. are somewhat different from what you're traditionally used to with Superman, but (for at least the last few seasons) they make sense within the world they inhabit, and in my case, have drawn me in to the show.
Well now we're in the home stretch with only a few episodes of Smallville left to go. I'm very pleased to hear about some of the things we can expect for the finale, and if you've been following the show at all lately, it's inconceivable that Clark won't don the cape and tights before all is said and done.
In any case, there will be a different Smallville character posted each day for the week, and also a different version of Clark each day as a bonus. See ya tomorrow!

As well, our thoughts and prayers go out to the friends and family of Elisabeth Sladen. If you were wondering, I do intend on doing a rendition of Sarah Jane Smith - but I'd like a little help - I'm not as familiar with the character as some of you, so if a couple of you guys could email me links to a few photos of her most 'iconic' looks/wardrobe it would be awesome. Thanks!

Wonder Woman Back to the Airwaves
Wonder Woman (new Adrianne Palicki TV version)
Well this new Wonder Woman show coming to NBC should be interesting. The track record with this type of superhero show is mixed to be sure, but hey, I'll give it a shot. I actually don't think the costume is bad at all, and it's a real step up from that initial press pic (Thanks for the red boots, NBC!). I don't think I've seen Adrianne Palicki in anything else myself, but who cares? Maybe she'll be great.
Along the same lines is this physical Wonder Woman piece I did for a domestic violence event. (Click image to embiggen)

Spidey 2.0
Spider-Man (new movie version)
I'm pretty hopeful about this new Spidey flick. After that third Raimi movie, I'm definitely ready to see a different direction. I've seen Andrew Garfield in a couple of things now, and I like him. He's got a good presence onscreen, and he's certainly a capable actor.
The new costume is a move somewhat further from the classic comic book suit, but the basic Spidey shapes and colors are still there, so I'm okay with it. Here's hoping it's a good ride!
On another note, I was made aware that I was within the top 50 blogs on Wikio for the month, and they've also sent me a top 30 sneak preview to post for you! -
