The Red Ranger
Even though I was pretty much too old for Power Rangers when they came along, I do have fond memories of them. I would often fill requests to draw quick sketches of the Rangers for kids I knew.
I even created my own Rangers, in fact I remember drawing Batman and Robin as Rangers...
Anyway, I don't recall what year it was, but do you remember that Christmas when there was a crazy frenzy for Power Rangers action figures? I'll never forget that...

Springfield Punx June Round-Up
Hey all, just wanted to mention a few items and thank you folks for a great fourth (wow, fourth?!) year of Punx.
Anyway, in case you haven't had a chance yet, I wanted to encourage you to check out a couple articles I threw together in response to some curious questions about Springfield Punx;
The first being 5 Tips for Killer Springfield Style Caricatures to help you draw your friends, family and favorite celebs in the fun Simpsons style.
The second article goes into the actual process of taking pencil sketches to finished colored Punx, (as well as the software and hardware involved) - How To Draw Eye-Catching Cartoons (The Springfield Punx Way) at Graphics Tablet Magic.
And lastly I wanted to share some cool DC comics based banner art by SP reader Josh
The JSA (I love how he turned Matt Smith into the Flash!)
And a big gang of Batmen!
Thanks Josh!

DC's Martian Manhunter
J'onn J'onzz, aka Martian Manhunter
Another request I've received a number of times is for Justice League member Martian Manhunter.
It will be interesting to see where DC comics goes with their heroes in the future here, as (if you hadn't heard) the publisher will be re-launching ALL their comics with new #1's (even Detective Comics and Action Comics!) and tweaking, or sometimes overhauling, the histories and costumes of all their characters. This is also on the heels of their announcement of day-and-date sale of the digital versions as well.
I'm cautiously optimistic about this 'DC Comics Reboot', but not without some concerns - They sure have piqued my curiosity anyway! I'd love to get an idea of what you guys think, please vote in my poll on the side here! >

Super Whosday; the 4th Doctor, Tom Baker
The Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker)
Well the Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker) was certainly the runaway favorite in the poll I put up, and I've finally gotten around to him. Hopefully these 12 different variations should be enough for everyone...
Baker is arguably the archetype for DW Doctors, and he's certainly the one I remember seeing on PBS as a kid - Even though I never really understood it and was far more interested in Superman and Batman. I loved the theme music though!
In fact, when the show came back with Eccleston, I said "Hey, what is this?! Doctor Who is supposed to have a hat and a long scarf!" Obviously I still knew very little about Doctor Who then, but now I understand why Tom Baker is such a beloved Doctor.
And as a bonus, check out some cool DW artwork people have been inspired to do -
First, 'John Smith's' 'The Implausible Astronaut'

And also, something really cool from 'Michael'...

A Couple of Fresh Doctors
Regenerated 10th and 11th Doctors from Doctor Who
Springfield Punx reader and Youtuber Sam suggested I do the freshly regenerated versions of the David Tennant and Matt Smith Doctors from Doctor Who. It seemed easy enough, so I went for it...
