...And Knowing is Half the Battle

Duke, Cobra Commander

As a kid, my friend was a bigger GI Joe fan than I was, but I enjoyed the show and man, I really enjoyed the toys. One of my favorite things to do with the figures (and I'm sure some of you did this too) was twist them up at the waist so they'd come whirling back around on account of that elastic band thing inside them. So fun :)

Not so optimistic about the movie though :)

Anyway, you'll probably see some more 'Joe' Punx in the future sometime.

  2. I'm a "grandy" at 34 and think the nostalgia punx rock harder. These are my favorite and I can't wait to see more. Yo Joe!

I used to unhook the rubber band and switch their legs around.

  6. No Cobra Commander with the hood? While the helmet is more familiar, the hood is just as memorable for those that followed the cartoon. Otherwise, great work, as always.

  7. Just found your blog-- Excellent job on all your likenesses. I'm sure you've heard this a bunch of times, but this is what Simpsons guest star designs should look like.

  8. Dean, I agree with Ricky. And I'm sure you hear this a lot too, but I'll try to contact MG so he can hire you for character designs! Also: I wanna see Obama!
