Silmer, Janine Melnitz, Stay Puft Marshmallow Man
Well, for day 7 of Ghostbusters Week, we're gonna round it out with a few Ghostbusters favorites.
Slimer is an essential, prominent in the movies as well as the cartoon and pretty much everything else that's had the Ghostbusters name on it. Crazy little guy.
Janine, well, I don't know what happened to her between Ghostbusters 1 and 2, but she went from frumpy and bookish to flashy fashion seeker for some reason. People change I guess.
And of course the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. (You may want to click on him for the full effect) I was delighted as a kid to see the fluffy massive mascot lumbering through New York. Kudos to the filmakers for being so original!
Well, thanks for checking out Ghostbusters Week y'all!
Stay tuned.
The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man is EPIC! For the longest time after I first saw the move (I was around 6 years old) I wanted those marshmallows, but alas, they do not exist...
ReplyDeleteHe's so BIG! Very good stuff there, man. As for Janine, that is an interesting subject. She even looked like her bookish self in the cartoon for a while, then they redesigned her with the red, so it was fitting they did the same for the movies. Makes sense, I guess.
ReplyDeleteAnd so, we say goodbye, farewell to GB week.
ReplyDeleteDean, you made my days and week, and I loved it. Stay Puft ROXS...So does Slimer...
Thank you, Dr. Spengler, for making us revive with joy and delightful childhood memories.
I think I'm gonna whiz in my pants.

Such a great week, the only thing that beats it was Marvel Month. But I am so happy you did Slimer, I went and watched the movies this last week and Slimer wasn't as prominent as I remember. But he was really big in The Real Ghostbusters cartoon. Thats probably where I got my Slimer fix as a kid. But again awesome job on these this week and look forward to all your future endeavors!
