Seriously, When the year is over, please consider compiling all Who related materials into a book. I'd love to have a coffee table book of your Who work.
The Doctor-Donna not one of the best companions, but her OTT and attitude made for some fun watching, what about her Grand Father, It would be nice to see him, apart from being the reason that Mr David had to change, he did travel with the Doctor in another life back in the sixties. ( and he voiced the other great TV prog of my childhood THE WOMBLES ) Here's look forward to next Whosday Tuesday
I love Whosdays even though I don't usually check them until Thursdays.
Donna really steps up as the Doctor's equal in one way that the previous companions had not. Usually the doctor takes the weight of the world on himself, but she shares responsibility with him by pushing down the lever with him in The Fires of Pompe (a lever identical in design to the one the Doctor couldn't push down himself in The Parting of the Ways). This simple act is revolutionary but often overlooked in circles of Doctor Who fans. To me taking hold of that lever is what gives Donna a depth that no one can reproach her whether they like her as a companion or not.
Thanks for the art Dean! Sorry I kind of geeked out there for a minute or two.
p.s. I bought your Fantastic Forefathers shirt from Dutch Southern. Now that's my idea of a crossover!
Wooo!!! I love Donna!!! Before Amelia/Amy showed up, she was my absolute fave. DW companion. She wasn't in love with the Doctor, and was totally willing to yell at him and put him in his place ^.^
Saw your work over on the SciFi channel magazine - and it's SO.MUCH.FUN!!! Definitely will be visiting often. :-) (And all these Doctor Who works are fantastic!!) You have Rory's eyes down perfectly!!!
Just discovered your blog via a post on BBC America's Facebook page. You totally ROCK, and all your Doctor Who stuff is incredible. Would love to see Rose Tyler (her lovely overbite lends itself to Simpsonization), Jack Harkness, Donna Noble's granddad Wilfred Mott, and Martha Jones...
Some great work you're doing here! I loved Donna, she's my favourite of all Doctor's companions (she was the closest to an equal to him), and you've captured her attitude very well.
I just discovered your blog and your great artwork. I'm such a Donna fan! She really is my favorite! She was so good for the doctor; she didn't let him mope or take himself too seriously, but she cared so much. And she just flat-out rocked. I miss Donna! Amy doesn't measure up IMO.
Would it be alright to use one of the Donna pictures as an avatar on another site if I credit you and link back to this blog? I don't want to step on any toes so let me know!
