While not a 'daughter' in the traditional sense, she still means a lot to the Doctor. I mean let's face it, the Doctor isn't a 'doctor' in the traditional sense either...
Why do people believe that Jenny was such an important character? She was never mentioned after that episode. And knowing that S.M. isn't planning on reusing R.T.D.'s characters, she may never be mentioned again.
How could you say that!? Jenny was so cool! If people care enough, then they could bring her back. That's what they did with Donna! Donna was just sup post to be in the one Christmas special before Martha came in. You got to say anything on that!?
It seems cruel to create such a character and then forget about her.
Because the Doctor is important to fans, obviously a character who is the Doctor's daughter, even if created unconventionally is going to be important to fans.
Also, SM asked RTD specifically to save Jenny to use in a future story. Granted, he then forgot that he had done that. So I give it 6-5 and pick'em that she will be back sometime.
I love her Cutie McCuterson eyeliner! But I'm not gonna lie...every week I keep my fingers crossed that a certain ex-Time Agent in a blue coat will show up in the spotlight. I suppose a punked Captain Jack is something to look forward to! Keep up the superlative work.
I just thought she was important because having her, and the Human-Doctor, and when there was the DoctorDonna, the Doctor himself wasn't the last Time Lord, he wasn't alone. That was nice.
Someone should tell him that Jenny made it out alive.

DeleteLOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing people just wish she'd be important. I thought she was a really interesting character and wouldn't mind seeing her return.

Your wrong in a way Birdie, as Jenny was sort of mentioned in Journey's End, when she was shown in a flashback.
ReplyDeleteAnd as she is The Real Life Daughter of 5th Doctor Peter Davidson she is well worth adding to the collection
ReplyDeleteShe is no Sarah Jane but she was a nice bit of totty after all
Noel 9
And she was from a SM story!

ReplyDeleteI'd seriously consider subbing to teefury.com if you haven't already!
ReplyDelete@Mark: He didn't tell RTD to do it. He told the person who wrote episode, because people wouldn't expect that to happen.
ReplyDeleteAww, she's adorable! Great job.
