WHOsday; Doctor Who - the Peter Cushing version

Doctor Who (As played by Peter Cushing in the Dalek films of the 60s)

It wasn't until recently that I even knew this Peter Cushing version of the Doctor existed! Apparently there were a couple of Dalek films in the 60's, and Cushing's Doctor was different and separate from the tv version. One interesting difference is that this Doctor's name actually was "Doctor Who"!

Anyway, this one is for those Whovians requesting him, and thanks for the tip!

  1. Nice job, as usual, Dean. The other difference between the Peter Cushing character and the Doctor is that Cushing's Doctor Who is a human scientist, not a Time Lord.

  2. Excellent, Dean! Big fan from Costa Rica (sorry the bad english). By the way, did you make already the Seventh Doctor? It will be also great if you make Strax, Madame Vastra and Jenny. :-)

  3. Yeah, Cushing played the role in name only, he's not considered to be one of the incarnations/regenerations of The Doctor.

I just watched my first 7th the other night. I think he's quickly going into my top 5!

  6. The second was the second encounter. It was based on the Dalek Invasion of Earth only the film was called the Dalek Invasion of Earth 2150 A.D. They used some really nice dalek props in those films!
