The Mighty Hercules
Remember this show? Many people probably haven't ever seen it, but I used to watch it all the time. I don't know if it was really the greatest cartoon ever, but I still liked it.
Maybe I was into it because it was pretty much the "superhero" twist on the Hercules myth. He had a power ring, a logo emblazoned belt, reccuring arch-villains (that Mask of Vulcan guy was was hilarious!) and a young centaur sidekick Newton. Herc's galpal Helena wasn't just a damsel in distress, she was downright useless.
Often Hercules would even call down his crazy wild horse Pegasus to aid him. He had to tame that stupid horse every time.
Ah, the memories.

ReplyDeleteWATCHMEN!!! YOU SHOULD DO WATCHMEN!!!
ReplyDeleteWatchmen sounds great, it's on the list.
ReplyDeleteYes I remember quite fondly of how cheesy and lame it yet good clean fun.
ReplyDeleteYour work is incredibly incredible.
ReplyDeleteI agree Watchmen would be supercool to do.
I also think that you could do a bitching Captain Marvel and family (your Hercules head reminds me of the old cartoon look of the character).
This blog rules! I check it daily now =)
Awesome. Please keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteGee Herc!
ReplyDeleteGee Herc!
Its Troy McClure!

Hercules, hero of song and story,
ReplyDeleteHercules, winner of ancient glory, Fighting for the right,
Fighting with his might,
Hercules is here,
Raise a mighty cheer for the mighty Hercules!
I loved that stupid cartoon.
The Official lyrics:
ReplyDeleteHercules, hero of song and story.
Hercules, winner of ancient glory.
Fighting for the right,
Fighting with his might,
With the strength of ten, ordinary men.
Hercules, people are safe when near him.
Hercules, only the evil fear him.
Softness in his eyes,
Iron in his thighs,
Virtue in his heart,
Fire in every part,
Of the Mighty Hercules.
Some of those words seem mighty odd these days.
The Mighty Hercules theme song!
