Being pretty late to the game when it comes to Doctor Who, I wasn't able to see much of Elisabeth Sladen when she was with us, though it's quite possible I saw her with Tom Baker on PBS when I was a kid. If you judge a person by the way others speak of them when they're gone, you'd have to say she was one special lady.
Oh, and the Andy Pandy outfit? I think it's fantastic :)

ReplyDeleteThank you... I would feel that Liz would have approved of your "sarah Jane" I have wanted you to do a S-J S for ages, and I cannot count how many times I have dropped comments asking. But waiting was worth it. It must have been difficult to get the look of a person who played a part spanning around 40 years. I would ask to add K9 to one of you NEW S-J S as I think K9 and the SONIC LIPSTICK helps define the modern sarah -jane smith. With a tear in my eye (and I am not kidding) I would like to thank you for being kind enough to indulge this 47 year olds dream.

ReplyDeleteI teared up as I looked at this beautiful tribute to SJS and more importantly to dear Lis Sladen. I was shocked when I first heard the news of her passing. She is a great loss to the Doctor Who Universe, as was Mr Courtney. I loved the tribute to him in 'The Wedding of River Song'
