This Avengers movie is really ramping up, and even though I've not seen it yet, I hear really good things about it. At any rate, here's an Avengers movie Black Widow to add to the collection!

Also today is some great Punx-style Mass Effect/Shepard fan art by Mitch. Nice!

I also wanted to give a couple of deserving shout-outs today, one for a teacher named Anthony - antsict.wordpress.com - who let me know about his great idea of using Doctor Who characters from Springfield Punx to illustrate points in his teaching for the kids and as labels around the classroom! Cool, right?

The second shout-out is to Connor from http://connorstbbtblog.blogspot.com/ who passed along some great ideas as far as characters for Springfield Punx that I'd like to get to at some point. Thanks Connor!

Doctor Who; The Slitheen

It's a Whosday!

When Doctor Who first came back (referred to as "Nu Who") with Christopher Eccleston, I caught the "Aliens of London" episode... While the "false-flag alien crash in London designed to spread fear and consolidate power for the government-disguised Slitheen usurpers" storyline was really interesting, the execution was rather goofy. So much so that it kinda turned me off of Doctor Who until a friend got me to try out the newer Matt Smith Doctor, and I was hooked from then on. I'm able now to go back and appreciate the Eccleston stuff in context, even the Slitheen episodes. At any rate, after a long wait, here they are.

A couple of pieces from some great contributors as well today, Daniel has done a great job on "Bucky Barnes" from the Captain America movie;

Ximo also has done something to cool share today, it's Hulk-Thing!

Following up on my previous post, here is the promised Avengers movie version of Hawkeye. Let's hope Renner does the character proud!

Springfield Punx - Big Reader's Art Roundup!

Hey all, I've received a bunch of cool artwork from SP readers around the globe lately, and I thought I'd just do one big post to showcase it! Here we go;

Juan has sent in his Punx rendition of Batgirl (Stephanie Brown Version) and also his Joker/Mask mashup!

Glenn has done up his drawing of the Vampire Diaries -

Matthew has turned himself into the 2nd Doctor! Anybody else want to see a headless version of a Doctor to turn themselves into a Doc?

Cliff has put together his version of 5th Doctor companion, Teegan!

Brendan wrote in about a project from his site, basically, as he says "It's what I imagine The Simpsons LEGO would look like". Lego should seek out this license!

Star Wars - Luke Skywalker!

Well, here's my version of a Simpson-styled Luke Skywalker.

While collecting reference material for these Luke Skywalkers, I did notice a couple of things;

1. Yikers, Luke wears A LOT of different outfits throughout that original trilogy. Lots of choices for future drawings I guess.

2. The costume designers on Star Wars did a great job! With rare exception, the characters in these movies don't look dated at all. It would have been easy to make 'em look all 70's and everything, but instead they really have a timeless quality to their looks.

Avengers vs X-Men; Spider-Woman vs Beast

So there's this "Avengers Vs X-Men" thing going on right now in Marvel Comics, and I knew it was a good time to get to some oft-requested, fun-to-draw characters I hadn't done yet - A gal with a great costume, Spider-Woman, and the furry blue X-man (who looks really cool when he wears his glasses) named Beast.
