Adding another TMNT character to my previous Ninja Turtles Punx. Pretty fun to draw too!

TMNT's Krang

Krang (from classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon)

A new addition to my TMNT punx - the alien villain Krang in his robotic body exo-suit thing. Two different versions of his hands, because I've seen him in the cartoon both ways.

TMNT's Raphael 2.0

Raphael (from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)

Continuing on from my Leonardo 2.0, here's a new Punx Raphael. I always loved it when he would hold the sai in between his fingers... Anyway, any appetite for a coloring page version of this one guys?

TMNT Leonardo Coloring Page

I've had some requests for coloring page versions of some Springfield Punx favorites, so as a start I've posted a new line art Leonardo here that you can color up yourself! Feel free to email and send in your (or your kids) coloring work, and if at all possible, I'll post em up here. Have fun! (Click image to access and save the full size image)

TMNT's Leonardo 2.0

Leonardo (from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)

I felt like it was time to go back and do some new versions of the Turtles from those I had previously drawn for this blog a loooooong time ago. They're some of my childhood buddies after all! Leonardo was my favorite Turtle back in the day, and here he is in his cartoon and comic-inspired looks...

April O'Neil

April O'Neil (from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon)

Another classic character from my much beloved childhood original TMNT cartoon! Don't know why I haven't drawn her until now!

Also today, you can check out Álvaro's "Punx drawing" of Legolas from the Hobbit!

And as a last note - Thanks for entertaining and inspiring us, Harold Ramis! We'll miss you!

Fellow Punx! I Need Your Help!

Hey guys! I don't do this much, but I was wondering if you can take a couple minutes to help me out. I've submitted a design for the awesome Threadless "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" Shirt Competition. I'd love to have your vote to help get this design printed.

The more "5's" it gets, the better chance it has to be chosen for print - I'd be very appreciative of your vote!

Thanks for supporting me guys, and for visiting Springfield Punx!
(More Punx soon!)

The Shredder V2.0

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' "The Shredder"

In light of the new TMNT cartoon on Nickelodeon right now (which is very cool by the way), I thought it would be fun to go back and re-draw a character that I did for the blog a looong time ago - The Shredder! This is him in his original look from the beloved 80's Ninja Turtles cartoon of my youth.

To this day, I still can't get over the fact that the Fresh Prince's Uncle Phil was the voice of Shredder. I mean, how cool is that!

Now, if you're a fan of Doctor Who and of neat original art, might I suggest you check out the site belonging to a friend of the blog - his name is Sam and you can check out his work here - http://wibblywobblytimeywimeyartstuff.weebly.com/

Punx Odds n' Ends

A bunch of miscelaneous stuff for you today, first is a really cool desktop featuring the previously posted Sontaran Punx! It was put together by the guys at the Doctor-Who-themed "The Omega Podcast"

There's also a cool Torchwood facebook page that has re-purposed some Punx images in quite a creative way...

Luis de los Rios is creating a really cool looking Batman fan series, and after a few quick tweaks to my TDK Punx I was able to match what he's got going on with the character designs in his series. Best wishes with it, Luis!

Josh has put together a bunch of Punx inspired comic strips called Hollyweird Living! Nice job, dude!

Juan is a fan of Phineas and Ferb, and has shared his designs with us as well.

This is Ra's Al Ghul by Luis!

Gabriel has done Arthur from Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy;

Fernando Alonso-Ferrari is here as well, brought to you by Raico and his blog.

And for good measure, here's my Punx version of TMNT's Shredder as inspired by the live-action movie;

Casey Jones up to bat!

 Casey Jones

Well here's the sports equipment wielding, bad guy bashing, friend of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Casey Jones!

My favorite line about Casey was from the 1990 Ninja Turtles movie when he shows up at April O'Neil's appartment to fight the foot clan alongside the Turtles, and Leonardo asks "Who the heck is this?" and Michelangelo replies with "Wayne Gretzky? On steroids?"

Posted below is an alternate world version named "Punish", done for some young guys I've mentioned before who have their own project/story called "Marvel Mirage" where they merge the Marvel and TMNT worlds. Cool ideas again, guys!

Marvel Mirage Follow-up

Just a quick follow up to the previous post, here's my version of "Shredneto", another one Gerardo's asked for help with. The heroes gotta have a villain after all!

Thanks for indulging us folks!

Oh yeah, in other Simpsons news, SP follower Tricia wanted to share a new interview with Simpsons voice actor Harry Shearer.

Marvel Mirage

A young artist named Gerardo recently sent me a neat drawing of his (The American Turtle) based on a story that he and a friend are working on.

They call it Marvel Mirage; a mash-up of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Marvel characters.

He gave me descriptions of the other characters (Shellowine, The Iron Turtle, and Shellpool) and asked me if I would do up some SP style images for them. I don't always do this, but I remembered the fun I had at 14 with this kind of thing, so I was more than happy to play around with it myself and throw something together.

Anyway, I thought they had a really fun idea going and I wanted to just share it with you, here they are below (Click image to enlarge)

Oh, and if you ever get the chance to help out and encourage a young artist - or any young person for that matter - please do, you won't regret it.

Thanks!
