I Am The Night!

Batman (The Animated Series version)

The definitive interpretation of Batman to many, Batman The Animated Series was something that I really really enjoyed, however I didn't initially have access to the show on my cable system until the show had pretty much ended its original run. I later saw what the fuss was about though - It was cool, moody, and engaging. BTAS first gave us the character of Harley Quinn and constructed the definitive, heartbreaking origin story for Mr. Freeze. Very cool stuff. Fortunately, the BTAS style merges well with SP style too :)

And you guessed it, Cliff is back with another neat Doctor Who drawing! "Doctor Who & the Keeper of Traken"

  1. BTAS really is one of the best interpretation of Batman. How did The Joker survive without Harley all those years before her creation?
And if you ever have any time to spare you can allways check out my new blog. http://thisisnotreallyart.blogspot.se/

  2. Love it!
If I can move one critique... the shade of blue you used for the highlights looks a bit off, it needs to be darker.
Hope you'll draw some more BTAS characters.

  3. Paul Dini, the creator of Harley, has been interviewed on podcasts by nearly former movie director Kevin Smith. The podcast is called Fatman on Batman. There are at least two episodes with Dini.

    1. Hi Dave! You're right, I'm not on Twitter - partly because I just don't know what I would do with it. I'd probably just say stuff like "New post on the SP blog today", but if someone was already a blog member, they'd know that anyway.

That's my thought process on it at any rate :)

    2. A good reason to be on there would be for people to pass along ideas of who you can "Simpsonize" next. I have a few ideas of my own! ;)

    1. So I spent some time this morning looking at ALL the images on the blog to see if you may have already done the characters I suggested. The answer was no. BUT... You have done a couple of them by accident!

You did Mr. Miyagi from Karate Kid. Make him younger and you have Arnold from Happy Days!

You did Gus from Psych. That's Charlie Young from The West Wing!

      I LOVE this blog!
